Available only in Largs, Yoga is an art, a science, a philosophy, a spiritual practice and a way of life. In a Yoga class the student learns to use their body as an instrument and how to perform different poses (asanas). With constant practice the student can learn in detail the action of the muscles, the holding of the joints, movement and balance. Using breathing and movement with grace and poise, creativity and rhythm your yoga practice helps bring together the physical, mental and spiritual qualities within us all to lead you to a more peaceful and inspirational life. Yoga is non competitive as each of us has a different way of being.

Perinatal Yoga
These classes are for women from 14-40 weeks pregnant. Classical poses (Asanas) are modified for the different stages with particular attention to opening the chest and relaxing the hips and strengthening the pelvic area in preparation for birth. Different breathing techniques are shown to help you during pregnancy and to prepare you for labour. Yogic breathing is relaxing and a natural pain relief. Back pain, pelvic and pubic problems (SPD), breathlessness, heartburn, anxiety and fear can all be helped with Yoga.

Mum and Baby Yoga
Mum and baby can enjoy time together. Included are post-natal exercises for mum and assisted stretches for baby. Playful singing adds fun to the routines and after relaxation you can enjoy tea and biscuits and chat with other mums. Baby yoga helps colic and brings balance to movement development. For babies from 2 weeks to crawling and mums of any age. (dads welcome too).
